Truman Capote

Truman Capote fue un reconocido autor estadounidense, nacido en Nueva Orleans en 1925. Pasó su infancia desplazándose entre el Sur y la Ciudad de Nueva York, donde vivió con su madre y su nuevo esposo. Capote fue un niño precoz que se enseñó a leer y escribir antes de comenzar la escuela. Su carrera de escritor comenzó de manera seria cuando era adolescente, y vendió algunos de sus relatos cortos. Después de dejar la secundaria, consiguió un trabajo como mozo de copias en The New Yorker, lo que marcó el inicio de su trayectoria literaria profesional.

El primer novela de Capote, "Other Voices, Other Rooms", fue publicada en 1948 y se convirtió en un bestseller. El éxito de la novela, junto con sus relatos cortos anteriores, estableció su voz como una significativa en la literatura estadounidense. A lo largo de su carrera, Capote escribió historias, novelas, obras de teatro y no ficción, muchas de las cuales han sido adaptadas en películas y dramas de televisión. En las décadas de 1950 y 1960, Capote continuó produciendo tanto ficción como no ficción, consolidando aún más su reputación como un escritor magistral.
