Terry Pratchett fue un reconocido autor inglés, conocido principalmente por su serie de fantasía cómica Discworld. Nació el 28 de abril de 1948 en Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, Inglaterra, con el nombre de Terrence David John Pratchett. Pratchett era hijo único y su amor por la lectura y la escritura se desarrolló a una edad temprana.
