Tanith Lee fue una autora británica muy respetada, principalmente conocida por sus contribuciones a los géneros de ciencia ficción, terror y fantasía. Tanith Lee nació el 19 de septiembre de 1947, en Londres, Inglaterra, hija de los bailarines de salón Bernard y Hylda Lee. El viaje de escritura de Lee comenzó en 1968 con la publicación de su primer cuento corto, "Eustace", y su primera novela, "The Dragon Hoard", fue publicada en 1971.
