Susanna Daniel es una aclamada novelista conocida por su narrativa evocadora y personajes ricamente desarrollados. Su primera novela, "Stiltsville", ganó el premio PEN/Bingham de 2011 por obra debut sobresaliente y fue reconocida por Oprah.com, Amazon.com y el Huffington Post como uno de los mejores libros de 2010. Su segunda novela, "Sea Creatures", selección del Club de Lectura de Target, fue elogiada como "una novela cautivadora y conmovedora" por Abraham Verghese. Ambas obras reflejan su profunda conexión con Miami, donde pasó gran parte de su infancia en la casa sobre pilotes de su familia en Biscayne Bay.
Daniel tiene títulos de la Universidad de Columbia y del Taller de Escritores de la Universidad de Iowa, donde perfeccionó su oficio. Fue becaria de ficción Carl Djerassi en el Instituto de Escritura Creativa de la Universidad de Wisconsin y cofundó el Madison Writers’ Studio junto a la autora Michelle Wildgen. Sus escritos han aparecido en publicaciones como Newsweek, Slate y One Story, demostrando su versatilidad en diversos géneros. Actualmente reside en Madison, Wisconsin, donde sigue inspirándose en sus raíces costeras mientras trabaja en su tercera novela.
