Susan Wittig Albert es una autora americana muy prolífica, reconocida principalmente por sus novelas de misterio que a menudo caen en el subgénero de "cozy". Ha escrito varias series, incluyendo las misterios herbales de China Bayles, las Cottages Tales of Beatrix Potter, los misterios victorianos de Robin Paige y la serie Darling Dahlias. Además de publicar obras bajo su propio nombre, Albert ha publicado trabajos bajo los seudónimos Carolyn Keene y Robin Paige.
Albert nació en el condado de Vermillion, Illinois, el 2 de enero de 1940. Asistió a la escuela secundaria Danville y estudió en la Universidad de Illinois, donde se graduó en inglés. Continuó su educación en la Universidad de California en Berkley, donde obtuvo su doctorado en inglés. Después de completar su doctorado, Albert comenzó su carrera profesional como profesora de college en la Universidad de Texas en Austin. También ha escrito ficción histórica, como "The General's Women" y "Loving Eleanor", así como obras de no ficción como "Work of Her Own: A Woman's Guide to Right Livelihood" y "Writing from Life: Telling Your Soul's Story."
