Shaun Tan es un reconocido autor e ilustrador australiano conocido por sus galardonados libros infantiles y películas animadas. Nacido en 1974 en Perth, Australia Occidental, obtuvo reconocimiento internacional por su trabajo en "The Lost Thing", que le valió un Premio de la Academia al Mejor Cortometraje Animado en 2011. Sus libros ilustrados, caracterizados por sus imágenes oníricas y su exploración de temas sociales e históricos, han sido ampliamente traducidos y resuenan con lectores de todas las edades.
