Robert Barnard

Robert Barnard fue un autor inglés, famoso por sus contribuciones al género de ficción criminal. Nació el 23 de noviembre de 1936, en Essex, Inglaterra y fue educado en la Colchester Royal Grammar School y Balliol College, Oxford. Barnard comenzó su carrera de escritor mientras trabajaba como profesor en la Universidad de Tromsø en Noruega, donde publicó su primera novela de crimen, "A Little Local Murder", en 1976.

Barnard es mejor conocido por sus novelas misteriosas, particularmente la serie Charlie Peace y las novelas Perry Trethowan. Su estilo de escritura se caracteriza por su ingenio, inteligencia y tramas atractivas. Además de sus obras originales, Barnard también escribió bajo el seudónimo "Bernard Bastable", produciendo cuatro novelas, una de las cuales presenta a Mozart como detective.

Los logros de Barnard en el género de ficción criminal fueron reconocidos en 2003 cuando recibió el Cartier Diamond Dagger de la Crime Writers Association por una vida de logros. Barnard vivió en Yorkshire con su esposa, Louise.
