Neil Bushnell es un reconocido autor inglés, artista e animador, conocido por su trabajo en ciencia ficción, libros para niños y narraciones para jóvenes adultos. Es más conocido por su serie Timesmith Chronicles y la serie Arkship Saga. Nacido en Hartlepool, Inglaterra, el 13 de agosto de 1970, el viaje creativo de Bushnell comenzó en sus días escolares tempranos cuando colaboró con un amigo para crear una tira cómica del periódico llamada The Funny Farm. La tira cómica se renombró más tarde como Farmageddon y se publicó regularmente en el Hartlepool Mail durante dieciocho meses. Bushnell transformó la tira cómica en un proyecto de animación, demostrando su habilidad para adaptar y hacer crecer sus ideas creativas.
Además de su carrera de escritura, Bushnell es un artista y animador consumado que ha trabajado en el sector creativo durante más de veinte años.
