Neil S. Plakcy es un autor consagrado de los Estados Unidos, especializado en novelas de misterio, romance, thriller y temáticas gay & lésbicas. Es particularmente famoso por su serie Mahu Investigations y la serie de misterios Golden Retriever. Plakcy ha realizado una contribución significativa a la literatura gay y ha sido finalista del Lambda Award en la categoría de Mejor Novela Gay de Misterio. Plakcy nació en Trenton, Nueva Jersey, y se graduó en la Pennsylvania University con un grado en escritura creativa.
