Dan Yaccarino es un aclamado autor e ilustrador conocido por sus prolíficas contribuciones a la literatura infantil y la animación. Ha escrito e ilustrado más de tres docenas de libros para niños, incluyendo colaboraciones con figuras notables como Margaret Wise Brown, Jack Prelutsky, Kevin Henkes y Patricia MacLachlan. Su trabajo ha sido exhibido internacionalmente y ha sido honrado con una invitación a la Casa Blanca para compartir sus libros y participar en las festividades de Pascua.
