Carole Nelson Douglas es una prolífica autora estadounidense, reconocida principalmente por sus novelas de misterio, suspenso, thriller, fantasía y ficción para mujeres. Ha escrito un total de sesenta novelas, siendo sus dos series más famosas la serie de misterios de Medianoche Louie y las novelas de suspenso de Irene Adler. Douglas nació en Everett, Washington, en 1944 y asistió al College of St. Catherine, donde estudió literatura inglesa y teatro.
